This time next week me and Rich will be chilling out in mouriez france trying to figure out how we will survive a race with 110 french and belgium racers flying through 26 french vilages on closed roads. Allez Les Bleu!
In the last 30k i was with 3 other riders and on the climb i split our group in half so just me and one french guy working together, taking the racing line through french villages with no traffic on the roads and the locals shouting allez! In the last 3k we started playing cat and mouse and as we entered Douriez and 500m to go i was on his wheel, a sharp left and 150m to the line, i jumped and won the sprint...only problem in the first 30k of the race got dropped by a very strong field, with team buses, maybe the quick step feeder team, some current and former national champions. Rich C. knows more about the riders than me - ignorance can be bliss. Still a great experience, with no race like it in the UK.
Chapeau!
Chapeau! As they say on the telly. Had to look it up - http://www.ccbrimeux.com/La_Cantonale/Presentation_La_Cantonale-A.pdf Sounds like a top event.
Best of luck chaps.

Bravo
Nicely Done! Did you get any photos? Guess the helicopter cameras didn't linger to get the overhead shots of your sprint!
No Pics
Sorry no Team Sky style photos - we were trying to look professional ;)
